Julie has been part of Camversation for a while now and I have very much enjoyed seeing her creative approaches to photography. With this in mind, Julie has so kindly agreed to come and share some of her work/passion with us on Camversation! Brilliant!

About the talk:

From a French market to the Saatchi - how I lost my mojo and found botanical inspiration.

Julie Cowdy tells how a tress of garlic developed into her botanically inspired series and achieved an Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society and a Royal horticultural Society silver medal. But, more than that, it became the gift that keeps on giving…

About Julie:

Julie Cowdy is a creative photographer living in North Yorkshire. She taught art, until ill-health led to early retirement and a change of focus. She particularly enjoys making images of flowers and still life. She usually works in projects, often creating photo artistry by adding textural layers, either in post processing or occasionally working into the image with collage or textiles.
