Tony North has been presenting to Camversation for years! He is such a superb photographer and presenter that we just had to organise this short series of workshops, all about one of Tony's big passions!
Macro Fundamentals with Tony North [Series 1, 2024]
Unlock the secrets of macro photography with Tony North in this comprehensive LEARN series! Designed for beginners and intermediate photographers, but will also include elements advanced photographers may enjoy.
Dive deep into the world of close-up photography and learn how to capture stunning details that are often overlooked (or not easily perceived) by the naked eye.
This LEARN series will guide you through the essential techniques, equipment, and creative approaches needed to increase your confidence in macro photography.
What you'll LEARN:
The basics of macro photography and its applications,
Choosing the right equipment and understanding its use,
Fieldcraft, such as understanding locations, weather effects and subject behaviour in order to get the best shots,
Techniques for achieving sharp focus and optimal exposure,
Creative composition tips to make your macro shots stand out,
Post-processing techniques to enhance your images.
As part of this LEARN series, you'll have:
Instruction from Tony North, a renowned macro photographer,
Hands-on practice with real-world example photographs, provided by Tony,

Flexible viewing options - all of the sessions will be recorded live, so you can watch them at your leisure.
