Forces of nature : A series of 3 talks that look at the forces of nature that impact on landscape photography with Claire Carter [ Series 1 2025/26]

Claire Carter joins us (after lots of requests from the community) to share her passions for creative photography and how, in contrast to how many of us think, landscapes are far from static environments. In Claire's photography, the landscape is constantly in movement, action or change. About Claire She moved to the Highlands of Scotland in 2022 and set up her new venture which enabled Claire to run photography workshops from her home with small group accommodation available. A studio means she can offer indoor botanical workshops which have taken off following successes in The International Garden Photographer of the Year! From Claire: Photography changed my life, enabled me to see things and go places I otherwise would not have entertained, feel creatively fulfilled and be constantly learning. This is a 3-part series: 8th Dec 2025, Forces of Nature 1 Introduction using sequences to demonstrate change over time in the landscape and the idea we can show a fourth dimension in a photograph. Clouds and mist. Wind 12th Jan 2026, Forces of Nature 2 Moving Light. Northern Lights (to include an AV of animations to show how the aurora moves). Rainbows 2nd Feb 2026, Forces of Nature 3 Water – sea, rivers, tides, ice and snow By joining this LEARN you will have: An experienced and widely respected presenter: Claire is an experienced teacher, presentater and outstanding photographer. Hands-on Practice: The opportunity to practice techniques and approaches between each workshop. This should allow you to try & apply what you've learned, increase your understanding/confidence and develop your skills.
